Extended Support Measures from Sweethaven Education Services
As we are all coming to terms with the impact of the coronavirus outbreak across the world, Sweethaven are keen to reassure all our schools and extended education community of what we are doing at to help play our part during these difficult times.
Now is an exceptionally anxious time for schools and their teams, and Sweethaven’s number one priority is our duty of care to support the education community in the best way we possibly can.
The Senior Leadership Team are continually monitoring the news and are working hard to adapt as this unprecedented scenario changes shape.
Following last week’s announcement of at least partial school closures, here are the additional measure that Sweethaven are taking to support you:
Extended Help Desk Hours
Our Education Help Desk will now be open from 8am, to allow more time to be there to support your queries before the day gets into full swing.
Enhanced Support & Advice for Remote Working
We are on hand to offer full advice around all remote working possibilities and to help get you started with the best remote teaching and learning measures for your school, whilst helping you plan for the changing landscape ahead. Similarly, we have extended support to make sure we are here for you if your team are experiencing difficulties in working from home and wish to talk these through.
Free Training Resources
Starting this week, Sweethaven will be launching 15 minute, bite-sized training webinars around key tips for better remote working, kicking off with Microsoft Teams & Google Classrooms fundamentals this week. Please feel free to extend the invitation to these training sessions to fellow teachers and schools – they are open to everyone in the education community who may benefit. If you would like to find out more about these sessions, please contact the team.
Furthermore, we are working in close partnership with key partners such as SMART, Google and Microsoft to formulate and communicate further measures for enhanced support and free offers to best help you in these time of increased need. We’ll be sure to keep you informed via here and via daily social media updates. Follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
Day Technicians
We are doing everything possible to keep our wonderfully dedicated Day Technicians safe and healthy at the front line. Please do keep us informed of your school hours so that we can try to be as accommodating as possible. Where school closures mean that these onsite visits won’t be feasible, we will be ensuring that your dedicated Day Technician time is redirected to effectively support and maximise remote teaching and learning capabilities, alongside additional training for your teams.
Dedicated Help Line
We know that now is an exceptionally stressful for time for you. This is mind, we will be following up with each and every one of you to offer you a dedicated number to call, night or day, for advice, worries or just a chat and a virtual cuppa. Please do make the most of this – it’s good to talk.
Thank You!
On a final note, a big Thank You from us. The NHS are doing a fantastic job of supporting this country through this difficult time, but so are our schools and amazing teachers who form an equally important part of the success of that support network.
We truly are in this together. If there is anything else that you believe the Sweethaven Team can do further to support, please let us know.
